‘Steenbergse Bossen‘ nature reserve

The landscape of Steenbergse Bossen nature reserve is a mosaic of woodland, grassland, fields and brooks (Erwetegembeek, Traveinsbeek, Karnemelkbeek). The clear water in these small valleys is the ideal habitat for insects and for the miller’s thumb, that has found refuge here. While walking through the Steenbergse Bossen woods you might spot a blanket of wood anemones, roe deer, fox and slow worm.
